Nickel 200/201 alloy description-
Nickel 200/201 is a commercially pure wrought solid solution strengthened alloy with excellent mechanical properties over ranges of temperature and resistant to several corrosives. Alloy 201 is the modification of 200 for controlling carbon that is keeping it from getting embrittled by an intergranular precipitate at the temperature ranging 600 Deg F to 1400 Deg F. The alloy is greatly resistant to several reducing chemicals and caustic alkalies. It is high electrical conductivity, very good corrosion resistant to natural water and distilled water.
Testing conducted-
There are several tests essentially conducted on the Nickel 200/201 Pipes & Tubes. The reason is to check the product quality. The tests done are positive material identification test, hardness test, pitting resistance test, intergranular corrosion test, macro-micro test, flattening-flaring test, mechanical test, and chemical test.
