Alloy 321H is also known as UNS S32109 is widely used Stainless Steel grade which is a higher carbon variant. The alloy was specifically designed to be used in high creep resistance and other impurities. The grade offers great resistance to creep properties and can be used in extreme temperatures of about 537 Degree C. Also, the high carbon content found in the grade offers high mechanical properties such as high tensile strength, great yield strength and excellent toughness and ductility to the fabricated round bars. Talking about the other grade, Stainless Steel 321 is widely used grade in the market for manufacturing high quality of round bars. It cannot be heat treated only cold working can be done on it.
The grade is suitable for welding purpose and other fabrication practices as it has good general properties. Hence, both of the grade exhibits some good general characteristics which includes high tensile strength, great yield strength, pitting resistance to chloride ion solutions, crevice corrosion resistance and excellent stress crack corrosion resistance property.
