About SS317:
317 Stainless Steel grade is an austenitic chromium-nickel grade having phenomenal resistance to corrosion and other properties. Its high content of molybdenum helps in improving its resistance to pitting and other properties. The grade has high creep and tensile strength and therefore can be used very well in the manufacturing of the pipes and tubes.
About SS317L:
The grade is a low carbon austenitic chromium nickel SS that can be well utilized in various industrial applications where high annealing and resistance to corrosion is in demand. The grade offers high oxidation to resistance even in the high temperature conditions.
Hence, the general characteristics found in both the version are excellent corrosion resistance, high tensile strength, great pitting resistance to chloride ion solution, crevice corrosion resistance and excellent stress crack corrosion resistance.
